The South Fraser Community Band (SFCB) has been providing music throughout the lower mainland since 1989. We were originally founded by Koert and Gerritt Arink as the Surrey Community Concert Band in 1989. In 1990 we changed our name to the South Fraser Community Band, and in 1992 became a federally registered non-profit society.  Under the musical direction of Dave Fullerton, SFCB continues to grow both musically, and in numbers. Come for a listen and check us out!  Our aim is to nurture musical performance talents and the enjoyment of music by everyone in our community by performing music with a broadly based appeal. We perform where the people are in parks, schools, nursing homes, anything goes!  We provide a wide range of music, including classics, popular show tunes, and more!  Members of the band are primarily from the beautiful communities south of the "Mighty" Fraser River..., Abbotsford, Delta, Surrey, White Rock, Richmond and Langley. We even have a few members from Coquitlam, Richmond, New Westminster and Vancouver!

During the school year, we meet in the music room of Semiahmoo Secondary School , located at: 1785-148 St, Surrey BC. Rehearsals take place Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm.  New members are always welcome!
