The New Westminster and District Concert Society has provided, for three quarters of a century, a variety of opportunities for residents of New Westminster and its surrounding communities to learn to play a band instrument and to perform in a concert band.

In recent years, the band has shared a number of concerts with a wide variety of other performing ensembles in the Lower Mainland.  The Senior Band also has an extensive history of touring, which has taken the ensemble across Canada on several occasions, to Canada’s north, Great Britain, Europe, Japan and Australia.

In June 2009, the New Westminster and District Concert Band celebrated its 75th Anniversary with a gala reunion and concert.
